The room was comfortable- we very much appreciated the soundproof windows (amazing for Barcelona!) and the fan. We found the staff to be very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We also really enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace in the courtyard. This hotel is very centrally located without being in the midst of the party district.
The hotel is definitely a bed and breakfast style, so if you're looking for something formal and fancy, this isn't the place for you.

Exceptionally comfortable hotel with beautifully decorated rooms and really helpful staff with online reservation at special daily rate. Stunning particularly good location, in centre of Barcelona. Close enough to the metro station. Brilliant and local meals.

Location is great - near Las Ramblas but in the historic Gothic neighborhood. Close to shopping, entertainment and incredible buildings. Staff is accomodating and informative with ability to converse in English. Room was clean, comfortable (except no a/c) and safe.
No air conditioning. Breeze from the open windows was good, but then could hear several people outside talking in the early morning hours. No elevator (lift).

We had a very nice stay in Pensio 2000. Orlando and Manuela are great and take a very good care of the customers giving them information about the city, tours availables, restaurants, etc, etc. It is a great option when you travel in a budget.
At the beginning we were worried about not having air conditioning in our room but everything turned out very good.

That there is no air conditioning, and you can open a window, yet there is also double glazing. To be able to have a coffee in the morning would be nice.. Family comfortable with soul.

Great location next to Palace of Music, can walk to Rambla, to metro, and tons of shopping all around.... I feel like I am staying at a friends apartment... owners are friendly and helpful. breakfast is meager, but convenient. No elevator, and one must walk up three stories. .
beds are a bit hard
